Your Book + Your Message + The Media

Our Advertising Strategy

Your Target Should Be Everyone!

Every person in the advertising business today will tell you what matters more than anything else is reaching “the right” person.

News flash! You can reach the right person with the wrong message and loose!

You can say the right thing to the wrong person and win. When you have the right core message and ongoing ads, everyone is the right person! The person hearing your ads or reading your book may not be the “decision maker”, but chances are, they know him or her. All of us want to save the day for our friends and relatives by giving them a solution to a problem. Our advertising system turns average people into evangelists for your product or service. They keys are education in a fun, easy way and time.

Allow Time To Be Your Ally!

Our key principle: Business runs on relationships, relationships take time. This means the more time you spend with someone, your relationship goes up. The less time you spend, it goes down. The more you know about someone, the easier it is to make a decision. You base your trust of a person on the history and values you share.

Remember, our goal is to attract relational shoppers. They are looking for an expert they can trust. They want a relationship.

You are the expert who teaches a little at a time, gaining trust, evangelists and customers.

When we talk about teaching, we don't mean the boring classroom education. The best way for people to remember what you say, is saying new things they have not heard. When your commercials sound like commercials, you are presenting a gray picture in a sea of gray. Your goal is to share old information in a new way, or new information in a way that delights the mind. Our brain was created to absorb NEW RELEVANT information.

Here are a few examples of teaching information, without using tired advertising cliche's. These are ads written and produced to get your attention and keep it until the end.

Some May Be Offended!

You might notice our ads might come across as offensive to some people. That's part of the strategy. If you want people to love you and talk about you, you have to develop thick skin and be OK with some people not liking you, even hating your ads. The other option is remaining gray in that sea of gray.

These two ads were written to sell trucks to American country people. You may be offended by these ads, if you are a city dweller and very likely if you work at a car dealership in the city. The ads are fun and packed full of truth.

These three ads are were written and produced for Jason's Deli a few years back. The only truth in these ads is the description of specific foods. The ads are packed full of mental images that hit your brain like boulders coming down a mountain.

These ads are a sliver of an ongoing six year campaign. The owners of this furniture store are now local celebrities. The foundation for the entire ad campaign came from the biography book of the owner. We have been telling his story, one sixty second chapter at a time over the radio. Many people love the ads and many hate the ads, but everyone knows about ChapinFurniture.com.

NOT ALL OF OUR COMMERCIAL ARE FUNNY OR SILLY!! The following examples are educational in nature. Generosity with information helps build trust in your community. These ads are filled with car care advice.
